The Evergreens Renaissance will enrich the nursing home experience by offering opportunities for continued learning, creative expression, discovery and personal growth on the premise that residents have the potential to discover new facets of their lives, rekindle interests and develop skills regardless of their limitations.

OBJECTIVES

The Evergreens Renaissance shall encourage creative self expression, continued learning, and growth through the guidance of skilled instructors via classes, workshops and sessions for nursing home residents.

The program shall encourage meaningful relationships among residents, their caregivers, family, and the community. This shared participation in The Evergreens Renaissance exemplifies the philosophy that continued learning and creative expression both stimulate and sustain residents and help develop a culture of mutual respect and dignity.

The program shall continue to develop venues including exhibits, publications and seminars in which the benefits of The Evergreens Renaissance can be shared with the community to raise public awareness and understanding of the potential of the aging population to flourish and grow through creative expression and continued learning.
